WERRIBEE Tigers assistant coach Matthew Thomson said his side would go all out to win its final match of the season against Williamstown in the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association south-west competition.
The Tigers occupy 10th position on the ladder and Thomson said he would like the side to finish off its disappointing season well.
"It's a big thing for us to beat Williamstown at the weekend and it will definitely be nice to finish the season off on a high," Thomson said.
"We did want to make finals this season so to finish in 10th place is definitely disappointing.
"We dropped a couple of games before Christmas and we were always behind the eight-ball after it.
"But on the positive side of things, a lot of young players got game time and they will have 12 months worth of experience to take with them into next season."
Thomson said he was "looking forward to next season already" and was adamant the Tigers would put on a better show for their fans as they continued to develop.
"I believe things look promising for our first team and I'm certain we'll do much better in the new season.
"For a young side to play together for a couple of years is a good thing and it will yield success in the years to come.
"Players like Matthew Gudde and James Freeman are coming along pretty nicely and will be big names in the future."
As for the Williamstown match, Thomson and head coach Paul Murray will not make too many changes to the squad and will look for consistency from their players.
"We will base our selection on performance and who is in form will play while who is not won't," Thomson said.
"We haven't had a consistent batting effort in a while but it will be great to see one in the final match."
The match will be played at Chirnside Park from 12.30pm.
