A resident, who did not wish to be named, contacted the Banner on Friday afternoon, saying the incident had left her scared and shaken.
"They [the police] told everyone to leave the street, but
we couldn't leave because we don't have a car and I've got kids here.
"I was allowed to stay here and they just told us that someone died and we need to stay in the house and lock the house up."
The resident said five police cars had surrounded the home around 3.30pm and two ambulances attended. She had not directly seen the incident, but had heard "noises" in the street.
"We just got told to stay in the house and don't leave the house, lock the house up and just stay there. But the rest of the people in the street, they all had cars so they all got told to go.
"I was feeling pretty scared."
