Please, help us bring Daisy home

THE Gordon family has become known in Wyndham as a pack of dog detectives.

Nearly every day, they can be found driving the streets with their watchful eyes on every alleyway, rubbish bin and nature strip.

The family has put up endless posters, and even letterbox-dropped more than 400 houses.

They have found, in their own words, "everyone else's dogs" over the past two weeks, but the one that counts the most - Daisy, their 18-month old boxer pup.

Owner Andrea Gordon said her three sons Jake, 7, Brodie, 5, and Zac, 2, were distraught when Daisy disappeared and Mrs Gordon was determined to get her back.

"I just can't stop crying, we are just so devastated," an emotional Mrs Gordon said last week.

"We've found everyone else's dogs, just not ours.

"It's just so hard; it's been a while now and we just aren't sure if there's a chance that we'll get her back."

Mrs Gordon regularly calls and visits the local pound and those in surrounding areas, yearning for some good news that Daisy, who is microchipped and desexed, has made it into their care.

Every veterinary clinic in the vicinity has her contact details - but so far, there has been no news on Daisy's mysterious disappearance.

With high fences surrounding their property, Mrs Gordon can't understand how Daisy escaped.

"We don't think she's been stolen from the yard. We looked out the front and saw her footprints, so she was obviously out the front for a while - but we heard absolutely nothing.

"She probably just would have thought it was a big adventure for a while and possibly took off after a cat."

The Gordons have another boxer, nine-year-old Ali, who is fretting terribly.

Mrs Gordon said with no real leads on Daisy's whereabouts, she believes someone may have found her and decided to adopt her.

"The best-case scenario is if someone is looking after her.

"If they could just take her into their nearest vet clinic or pound, it'd be no questions asked - we'd just be so happy to have her back.

"It's just so hard not knowing. We'd even buy them another dog."

A reward is offered for the return of Daisy. If you have seen her, call Andrea Gordon on 0402238924 or Wyndham Council on 97420958.
