Bullet fired into lounge room

18 Nov, 2009 09:05 AM
A WERRIBEE family had a lucky escape after a bullet was fired through one of their front windows last Wednesday.

The incident happened about 10pm at the house in Kookaburra Drive. Two people were inside the house but they were not injured.

Detective Senior Constable Jonas Todd of Werribee crime investigation unit said the bullet lodged into the ceiling of the lounge room where one of the occupants was at the time. Another person was in the bedroom.

"Fortunately, there was nobody standing near the window," he said. "They [the occupants] were obviously pretty shaken up. We're still investigating why this house was targeted."

Information to Detective Senior Constable Todd on 9742 9498 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
